Hi, I’m Sam.
I guess…you could call me CEO – the Chief Everything Officer that is. That’s because I’ve spent the last 4+ years working in every single department of this specialist area of Singapore immigration advisory. So, I have developed a well-rounded set of skills in consulting, client management and support, document control and preparation, content writing, and copywriting.
My favourite part of my job is working with people one-on-one. I work with applicants that include professionals from industries such as: Technology, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Logistics, Engineering and Hospitality. As well as with a few good businessmen and entrepreneurs.
In my past life, I was the co-founder of an educational technology startup and also worked in the busy world of public relations. These experiences have shaped my ability to navigate uncertainty, come up with creative and practical solutions in challenging situations, and practice communication with clarity and precision.
These powers come in especially handy when working with clients on their applications because I work on all sorts of cases and meet all sorts of personalities.

Why i do what i do
Growing up, I lived overseas in Dubai for close to 7 years. Coming back to Singapore at the ripe old age of 8, I came into a bit of a culture shock. The harsh truth was – I felt like a foreigner in my own country.
But slowly and surely, with the support of great people, Singapore became home again.
I’m thankful for the people who helped me in a time of transition. The people who made an outsider like me feel right at home.
Therefore, it gives me a great sense of purpose to support foreigners who want to make Singapore their home.
This motivates me to always be learning, striving to do my best work, and trying to reinvent what’s possible to give my clients an advantage.
Hi, I’m Nic.
I’m one half Singaporean, and one half New Zealander (I usually prefer the term Kiwi). I may not look or sound like your “typical” Singaporean, but I assure you I’m born and bred here and can spout some choice Cantonese phrases – if anyone wants to challenge me on that.
My work in Singapore immigration began in September 2014. It’s been one roller coaster of a journey learning all the ins and outs. I’ve learnt from good practices, learnt to AVOID bad practices, and have created new practices for the better.
In my past life, I’ve worked at a law firm, a catering business, and a church. I also worked as a model at one point in time – definitely one of the more interesting highlights of my career 
. At the centre of all these experiences, I’ve developed the power to communicate candidly with diverse groups of people from all walks of life. I believe it’s always best to speak with your hand on your heart.
I build my working relationship with clients on three essential pillars of trust, honesty, and mutual respect. I believe these are vital ingredients to the process, as we work together to craft the best possible application that all my clients deserve.

Why i do what i do
Along my journey, I’ve met so many foreigners who have travelled miles to be here. Leaving their homes and sometimes their families behind, in order to go after their dreams with courage and a fierce determination.
Their stories have inspired me to pursue my own dreams to the best of my ability. So, I wish to return the favour. Providing tons of support and hope on their journey towards their Singapore dream.
We are not an agency. We are your partners.
We want to be perfectly clear and upfront. We’re not an agency with a huge team of people.
So, if you’re the type of person who takes comfort in numbers and likes working with a company filled to the brim with employees – then that’s not us, and we’re probably NOT the people to work with.
Instead, when you work with us it’s simple. You’re working with either Sam or Nic throughout the entire process.
We deeply believe that’s the best model to get your application done right.
That is: a hands-on expert following and supporting you throughout the entire process. From the consultation to the document preparation, through the application submission, and attending to all your questions and updates post-submission.
This way, we truly work closely with you, get to learn your profile over time, and are able to give you specific and accurate advice at every step of the process.
Rest assured, your case will never be passed off from one department to the next in a game of “broken telephone.” You know what they say about too many cooks spoiling the broth?
We also take on a limited number of client cases each period to ensure your case is given the required attention and focus it deserves.

How did the name Sam, Nic + Co come about?
For us it’s not just business – it’s also personal. Hence, we put our actual names on the company brand. We call that putting skin in the game.
Also, the “Co” doesn’t stand for company, instead it stands for community. Our community is made up of the dreamers, thinkers, and doers from all corners of the globe, who have planted their roots and are building their lives in Singapore.
It serves as our reminder to always include the community and put our customers at the center of the business.
In an industry which can sometimes feel frustratingly opaque, we aspire to be the advisors that bring openness and integrity to the community we serve.
